What are your shipping rates?
We charge a flat fee of $7.50 for shipping and handling.
Orders $70 and above ship free within the US.
How soon will my order ship?
Orders ship within 1–2 business days after they are placed.
We ship Monday through Friday. Orders do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or major US holidays.
Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. If you do not receive an order or tracking update within a few days, please contact us at hello@hourofsilence.com with your name and order number, and we’ll look into it for you.
What is your return/exchange policy?
If you are not completely satisfied with your order, we offer complimentary returns on purchases within 30 days of delivery.
Returned items must be unused and in their original packaging.
What should I do if my order is damaged in transit?
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us at hello@hourofsilence.com with photos of the affected product(s). We will replace the damaged item at no cost.
What should I do if my order has gone missing?
If your order is taking longer than expected to arrive, please check the following:
- Verify delivery address: Confirm the delivery address listed in your order confirmation email is correct.
- Check for a delivery notice: Please check if a notification card was left on your premises, or if you've received an email, app or SMS notification. Your parcel may have been delivered to the post office or a collection point.

Delivered to a safe place: Check if your parcel has been left in a safe place. This could be under or behind something on your delivery premises, or in your mailbox.
- Accepted on your behalf: Check to see if someone at home or at your office accepted or signed for the item on your behalf. If you live or work in a large building, check with building management or the mailroom to see if they have received it.
If you’ve checked the above and believe your parcel was stolen or misplaced, please contact us at hello@hourofsilence.com and we’ll work with the carrier to help resolve the issue as best we can.
Do you offer international shipping?
At this time, we only ship within the US.
How should I burn and care for my candle?
Trim the wick to 1/4" before each burn for a clean, even flame.
On the first burn, allow the wax to melt fully to the edges of the vessel to help prevent tunnelling and support an even burn over time.
Burn for 2–4 hours at a time, and keep the wax surface clear of wick trimmings.
If needed, gently re-center the wick after extinguishing while the wax is still soft. Discontinue use when 1/2" of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.
How long does the candle burn?
Our 8 oz candles burn for approximately 45–50 hours.
What are your candles made from?
Our candles are made with a natural soy-coconut wax, 100% cotton braided wick, and a blend of fragrance oils chosen for a unique scent experience.
Each candle is poured into a reusable glass vessel and made in small batches.
Why does my candle look slightly imperfect?
We use a 100% natural, paraffin-free wax with no smoothing additives, so you may notice subtle surface pits as the candle cools. This is normal and purely cosmetic.
